This 1927 hotel has had many identities, including a Penthouse casino and speakeasy once run by the Capone family. Al Capone’s brother ran a casino on the Penthouse floor during the prohibition era. In the 1970s, our hotel had a stint as the Playboy Hotel and Towers under owner Hugh Hefner. Throughout the years, we’ve housed celebrity guests such as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and the Rolling Stones.
